MedCodes-09

MedCodes-09 is the complete 2009 medical database of the ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes from the AMA for all medical specialties at your fingertips. MedCodes-09 includes a powerful search function that allows the user to type single words, multiple words, or multiple fragments of words as search criteria. The resulting codes from a search can be scrolled on the iPhone, and touching a displayed code will allow the 25 codes immediately above and below the touched code to be displayed allowing the user to home in on the exact code they are looking for. For ICD-9 codes, the codes are either displayed in red (non-billable or incomplete) codes or green (billable codes). For CPT codes, green codes are active codes, and red codes are inactive codes. The CPT search includes HCPCS codes.

We read the reviews and not only updated the data to include the all of the 2009 codes as discribed above, but increased the search capabilities as well as included global periods in the search results.

CPT search results can further be displayed in a detail view (which is also scrollable) with a complete description, RVU values, and even the dollar amount to be paid for that code at 100% of Medicare, automatically adjusted for your selectable GPCI locality.

The price for this software includes a 1 year license for the codes to the AMA which owns the codes. The database is automatically downloaded from the Internet at the first launch of the application. This software and this license will expire on 03/31/201. MedCodes-10 with the complete 2010 database will be available on the App Store in February 2010 when the codes and RVU factors are released by the AMA.
